Kalba International and its consultants have completed operations restructuring, financial management, network deployment, design and launch of marketing programs, technical evaluation, and other implementation assignments on five continents. On short notice, we can assemble and deploy a team of experienced senior executives and consultants to field locations throughout the world. We can also assist clients in overall venture development and realization.
Some examples of the management services projects we have implemented:
- Management of 600-person team laying a fiber cable along the length of the Panama Canal, connecting to Pacific and Caribbean undersea fiber cables and onward to major world centers
- Provided sales and marketing services to a service operator introducing a new telecom offering in South America, including channel development, quality review, training and other services; our team developed a detailed process plan for lead generation and handling, sales implementation and sales reporting
- Responsible for technical assessment of quality, budget and schedule commitments of a global mobile system, focusing on the network management system, air interface methods, gateway software, interconnection with wired and wireless carriers, ground station capabilities, uplink technology, and overall system deployment
- Prepared marketing and tariff plans for service operators in Brazil, Congo (DRC), Canada, Hong Kong, Romania, Spain, Thailand, Ukraine, United States and other countries, addressing organizational as well as customer segmentation and distribution issues in the process
Kalba International is currently slated to monitor the construction and initial operation of a fiber backbone and international gateway in Malawi.
Our Management Services practice draws on the industry-based experience of our consultants whose prior responsibilities include senior executive and operational management positions at telecommunications operators, cable TV companies, and financial companies. For example, one of our senior advisors has served as "shadow CEO" of the major telecom carrier in an emerging Asian country; another as the managing director of wholesale banking at a major European bank.
